Here is our list of people/organizations that have made donations to the
YA Book Drive...
Have you heard of the new YA book "Desert Blood 10pm/9c "? Ronald Cree, the author of this newly published mystery has emailed us here at the
YA Book Drive 4 Rural Libraries and told us that he will be sending some copies of his book for our cause. We are very
excited to get our hands on the first book of his series about Gus González a fourteen year old boy who is adopted by
a Latino actor. Thanks Ron!!
The YA author Cecil Castellucci has promised to send us a copy of her book Boy Proof which has made the ALA's list of Best Books for Young Adults. She will also send us a copy of her newest
book The Queen of Cool. Thanks Cecil!!
Tanya Lee Stone has contacted us and promised a copy of her book A Bad Boy Can Be Good For a Girl. It was published in January of this year and has gotten some really great reviews by readers at Amazon.
Thanks Tanya!!
Zoe Trope has offered up a copy of her book "Please Don't Kill the Freshman: A Memoir." Her book has been described as 'weird and shocking'. It is the true telling of her high school experience,
though of course names have been changed. Thanks Zoe!!
Brent Hartinger has said he is going to send a couple of his books for the book drive. He is the
author of several books including Geography Club which is a great book by the way. Thanks Brent!!
Marlene Perez is donating her book Unexpected Development. The book is written as one of those horrid "how I spent my summer vacation" essays they would make us
write. The main character tells her teacher about her job, her pervy boss and how her long time crush finally notices her.
Thanks Marlene!!
Nancy Garden has sent an email stating that she would like to donate a book or two to the book drive. Her book Annie On My Mind caused quite the stir when it came out due to Annie and Liza's love for one another. Another great book
that Nancy Garden wrote that I love is The Year They Burned the Books. Thanks Nancy!!
Lauren Barnholdt has a YA book coming out this June titled Reality Chick. She went ahead and made a purchase off the wish list of one of her favorite teen books and will be sending
us a copy of her new book when it is released. Thanks Lauren!!
Linda Joy Singleton has sent us her books Don't Die Dragonfly and The Killer. Linda has published over thirty books. Her newest book is Sword Play which is book four in the
Seer series. Thanks Linda!!
A very special thank you is going out to Lisa Von Drasek who sent two big boxes full of donations.
We appreciate your donations so much here at the YA Book Drive. Thanks Lisa!!
You will notice that some of our givers on the list have weird names. I've posted notices about the
book drive on a site called livejournal and have gotten a great response. As I do not know at this time their real names I
have posted the usernames of those who have donated to the book drive.
For security reasons I've only posted the first name and last initial of individuals who have made
donations.
